Speculation motive
The speculation motive is a reason why money is demanded in an economy according to the keynesian monetary theory is.
The speculation motive means that money is requested in order to buy stocks and bonds. The demand for money under a speculative motive is higher when interest rates are lower and there is a greater speculative motive when interest rates are lower.
